We so enjoyed having our 4D Ultra Sound done today! He was amazing to watch and was very adamant about keeping his hands in his face. He is going to be stubborn like his Momma. 98 more days to go and I'll be holding him! Excitement doesn't come close to how I feel!!!! I am so grateful for this huge miracle God is allowing us to take care of. We love him so much.

It's a Boy!!

God has blessed up with a boy! We are so excited! We are truly blessed. I am so overwhelmed by Gods grace and mercy in our lives. He answered our many prayers and has sent us a child and now we know it's a boy! (one day I'll finish the blog post about our journey to this point in our lives. I know so many people know parts of our story, but not the whole journey, so when time allows I'll work on that)

Now we are thinking about names. Planning a nursery and many other wonderful things for our son!. I love saying that!
Our to-do list is crazy long, but it has so many wonderful steps in it and I whole heartedly welcome them in.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers, I have been very sick the last three weeks. My asthma is totally out of control and my Baby Dr. is sending me to my specialist in Dothan on Monday. He is stumped by my asthma as most new dr.'s are with me. Which is funny and scary at the same time. Funny because I've had these issues my whole life and it doesn't surprise me anymore when things get crazy, but scary to see the Dr.'s face when he says do breathing treatments every four hours and see a specialist because he is worried about me and baby DuBose. I am not worried, because I know God is taking care of us. I have a peace about all this asthma mess. It's just a part of who God made me, and he has seen me through so many attacks and even lung cancer. I know that God gave us this blessing and he will see it through. Also, the baby's heart beat is always good when I go to the Dr. and all the ultra sounds look awesome! He is healthy and that is a God thing!

I'll try and keep everyone posted. I know that last six months or so I have totally dropped the ball on blogging. But, God blessed me with a Job this year, and I am totally swamped most of the time. Blogging has had to take a back sit. Now, to make things really crazy, I'm trying to get registered for a master class to keep my teaching certification up to date. Not fun! But, I liked a year having enough teaching experience. It's a total shame that the whole year I taught private school lead to this issue because the state doesn't recognize the school I was in as being a state certified school. But, all things work out for a reason. I have been meaning to go back and get my masters degree, but kept putting it off, and this little hiccup has seemed to push me in the right direction. So, another prayer request to you guys. That I get in the class I need this next week and that the next six weeks will fly by and I pass the class.

Well, guys it's almost 2:00 o'clock in the morning and I'm done with one of the many four hour breathing treatments, so I'm going to try to get some sleep.

The Fourth of July Weekend

We had a wonderful Fourth of July! Sara's husband Mike was able to come home for the long weekend. I don't think I have seen Sara this happy since Liam was born! It has been three months almost four since she has been able to see him. It was so awesome to have the whole Rogers Family together again! We enjoyed spending time with the family, eating lots of Food, swimming, and fireworks. I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't get any pictures of the fireworks. Oh, well there is always next year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July Too!

Liam's 1st Beach Trip

Gotta Love a Road trip to the beach! Sara and I went to SeaSide to visit our Aunt Jacky. While we were waiting for A. Jacky to get off work Sara and I looked around SeaSide and chatted with several people we knew. Sara and I practically grew up in SeaSide so we know most of the people who work there. After Aunt. J. was off work. Ms. Pat, Sara, and I rode over to Sand Destin to eat dinner. I can't remember the name of the seafood place we ate but it was really good. After dinner we all rode back to SeaSide and I took beach photos of Liam and Sara. This was Liam's first time on the beach. Liam did really well for a three month old. He seemed to love the water! The sand was a so so issue with him. We are planning another photo session next week. I'm so glad we made it down before the oil did! I hope the oil is still at bay next week. Thanks Aunt Jacky for dinner and the shopping spree!

Myrtle Beach

We had such a great time at Myrtle Beach last week! Paul and I visited the Ripley's Aquarium one day. We hit the beach and the pool when the weather permeated. We got to feed baby tigers! This was my favorite part of the trip! We had several family dinners:Dixie Stampede, Rioz, a couple of buffets, a couple of beach restaurants, and House of Blues. Rioz the Brazilian restaurant was so awesome! Paul and I are still talking about it! If you have never been to one, it is a must! We also took a jeep tour of the local area. This was fun and educational. I just love stuff like that! We were able to get several days of shopping in. Two Tanger Outlets, a indoor mall, and several outside mini malls. I was in shopping heaven! We also played a fun round of mini golf which Paul's step dad won. I just wanted to thank my mother in law Cyndi for a wonderful trip! We had so much fun getting to spend a week with the family.

Albuquerque Biological Park

While Mom and I were out in Albuquerque, NM, we went to the Biological Park. The two attractions that we saw on this particular day were the Aquarium and the Rio Grande Botanic Garden. This place really takes you back to your childhood. If you ever find yourself in Albuquerque and have small children I recommend you take a day trip to the BioPark. We had so much fun!

St. Patty's Day

We celebrated Liam's first St. Patty's day yesterday. We all wore our festive hats and the color green. Even Sara's animals got into it! They didn't like it very much,but it was still fun trying to get them to pose in front of the camera.

In Other News this week...

Liam still has Jaundice.The most common treatment for hyperbilirubinemia is phototherapy, which uses fluorescent light to help transform bilirubin into a form the body can more quickly eliminate. Standard phototherapy is usually done in a hospital. But babies with jaundice who are otherwise healthy may be treated at home. His Tuesday bilirubin level was 18 and he has had to be under home phototherapy. (see last pic) He as hated every min. under that light and keeps pulling off the little goggles that protect his eyes. Yesterday his level was 14 so he came off of the photo therapy to see if he stabilized on his on. He goes back to the Dr. tomorrow. If his levels have gone back up then he will have to go back into the hospital. We hope this doesn't happen!

Sara developed Pregnancy-Induced hypertension (PIH) which in other words high blood pressure the day she delivered Liam and her blood pressure hasn't gone down. Her Dr. put her on blood pressure meds and they are not working. So, keep her in your prayers as well as baby Liam. I'll keep everyone updated when we get his results back tomorrow. Until then I hope everyone had a good St. Patty's Day!

Welcome Baby Liam Michael Rogers

Baby Liam was born on March 10,2010. I'm so glad I was able to spent this precious time with Sara and Mike. Liam is so special and the most beautiful baby I've ever seen!! On the day that Liam was born it snowed in New Mexico, the locals were freaking out because it is rare. Well today it snowed this morning before Liam got to come home. How cool is that! Baby Liam brings the snow! Mom and I had a little welcome home party this afternoon. We had all the works:cake,punch, veggie tray, and balloons! It is going to be so hard to leave come the 30th. I'm already planning to come back in late July or August. I love being an Aunt! I'm going to spoil this little bundle of joy rotten! Here are just a few pics of that day and the days that have followed since.

Valentines Banquet

Paul and I had a very low key Valentines day this year. He was on call and due to the snow we didn't get out other than the banquet. Here are some pictures of our Valentines Day Banquet at Church. This banquet helps the Youth raise money for their church summer camp trip. Each year we have dinner and some kind of entertainment. This year we had a wonderful steak dinner and a Mystery Theater Show. The Youth and the adults that helped with the dinner and the show did a wonderful job! It has been the best so far and we are looking forward to next year!

Sara's Baby Shower Via Web Cam

Last Saturday Mom and I had a baby shower for Sara via web cam. Sara's friends in Utah also had her a shower on the same day in Utah. So while Sara was being showered with gifts for Baby Liam in Utah, she also was being showered with a money tree in South Alabama at the same time. Sara was able to see everything we were doing and we were able to see what she was doing. It was so nice that we were all able to share this experience with her, even if she was miles away. None of this would have been possible with out Paul! He put this whole web cam shower together so we all could enjoy seeing Sara open all her gifts. Here are pictures of the South Alabama shower. Sara is suppose to send me pictures of the Utah shower. If she does I'll post them.

Butch Walker @ 7 Stages

This past weekend we headed up to Atlanta GA to see Paul’s Grandmother (Me Maw). We had a great visit with her and Emma our dog just ate it up! She had so many people to love on. Bless her heart, she wore herself out! We also got to visit with Paul’s Uncle Steve, Aunt Jane, and his cousins (Stephanie, Katie, and Allison).While we were up there visiting, we went to the Butch Walker Concert at Seven Stages. This was an amazing concert! It was like an unplugged concert, just Butch and his band sitting down jamming out in front of 200 of his closest friends. It was so crazy! We were sitting in the second row dead center! Butch’s family was sitting right behind us! It was hard not to stare! I guess you could say we were a little star stuck. LOL We had a great time and look forward to more trips up to Atlanta to visit family and if Butch is in town another show.

Jarred Gorbel came out before Butch. He was really good and had great hair! We got to meet him after the show and he signed a CD for us. Pretty cool!

And here is Butch! He did an amazing job! I just hate we didn't get to hang out with him after the show like we did with Jarrod. We did get some video of him singing a couple of our favorite songs. I'll have to post those another day. We are already looking forward to the next show he plays in Atlanta.

Today I woke up to a wild adventure! The phone rang at 8:24 am with my mom on the other end telling me Happy Birthday. The time is crazy, but that is the time the Dr.'s took me out of my mom's tummy and she called to reminisce. She does this every year and I love it! After that I noticed a card beside the bed and I got even more
excited!And little did I know an Adventure had started!

So after I opened up this sweet card from my wonderful husband, I went ahead and got up. If you know me I'm not usually up before nine unless I have to be. I love to sleep! So, as I walked into the bathroom I saw another card and knew something was up! The Great Card Adventure had started! Here is card number 2.

Well, I'm super excited at this point and start looking for more cards in the house. I found card #3 in the office in front of the computer.

The next stop was the hall. I was really cold and I went to turn up the heat, and there was card #4.

From the hall I went into the guest bathroom and nothing was there. I was a little disappointed. I wasn't ready for this card game to be over yet. I got over it pretty quick when I walked into the living room to get a tissue. (Runny nose, it happens every morning, I wasn't crying LOL) There was card #5 sitting in front of my tissues. He knows me so well!

I turned to go into the dinning room and I spotted card #6 in front of the T.V.

From there I went into the dinning room and I didn't see a card on the table so I headed for the kitchen. And, there sat card #7.

My last stop was back through the dinning room to call Paul and tell him how sweet he was for my Card Adventure and the sweet notes he left in each card.When I spotted the edge of another card. I was jumping up and down because there was card #8 and a present! It was a new book to read!

It was the best card ever! It explained why there was only 8 eight cards. Because I turned 28 today and he said he didn't know about actually buying twenty eight cards. He is so funny! He continued on to tell me how completely in love he was with me and was so glad God had brought me into this world today! (crying again) Paul I love you too! And even if you can't give me the world, you have tried to. That is all that matters! Your love is the most important thing you could ever give me. I'm so glad that God sent you to me. He answered my childhood prayer beyond my expectations! Thank you Lord for my Husband!

Sara's New Baby Pics and Lastest Update

Mike got to come home for a couple of weeks for Christmas. Sara was super excited! I'm not sure how many weeks she is in these pics.(She called and said she was 28 weeks in them) I'll edit this post when she sends me the correct weeks. So, Mike got his orders over the holidays and they are most likely moving to New Mexico before the baby is born. So instead of flying out to Utah in two and a half months it will be a whole new state to visit for Mom and me. I'm kinda exited, but a little sad because there probably want be any snow there. But, who needs snow when we are going to see her sweet bundle of joy! At her last dr. appt. the dr. said the baby was already 2 pounds. Wow!!! He is going to be a big boy! They didn't get any new baby pictures this last appt. But all is well with them both. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare to move. Sara probably will be on her own for the move, since Mike went back to Texas for more training. So, Paul and I got a web cam for us and my mom for Christmas. Sara and Mike already had one. So, last night we got to video chat with her! It was so neat! I'm so going to enjoy that when Scooter is born. Mom and I are probably going to drive her nuts with it! But we are so excited! Other good new Sara and Mike's way is that after their 10 month stay in New Mexico, they will be permanently stationed in Eglin! That is such a blessing!!! Well, that is the lasted update on Sara and Mike.

I'm so excited!!!!!My new spinning tree stand came in today! I took the whole tree down and redecorated it. I'm crazy so my hubby says. I hope you guys enjoy the show.

Almond Toffee Bark...YUMMY!

Okay ladies here in the latest candy making adventures in my kitchen: Almond Toffee Bark and chocolate covered pretzels.
Almond Toffee Bark

Ingredients
3 cups (10 ounces) sliced almonds
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 c.semi-sweet chocolate chips(not sweetened)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a large baking sheet with veggie spray. Spread almonds over sheet and bake until golden brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.

In a 3 quart heavy saucepan bring to a boil: butter, sugar, water,vanilla, and salt over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon. Once a roaring boil happens don't stir any more. Swirl the pan occasionally, until a deep golden brown color appears. about 12 minutes.

Remove pan from heat. Immediately pour toffee onto baking sheet and with a spatula spread into a thin layer.

Sprinkle toffee with chocolate chips and let melt.(about 1 minute)Then spread chocolate over toffee.

Next sprinkle almonds over chocolate and let cool. About 1 or 2 hours.

Cut toffee into 2-inch pieces of "bark". Layer bark between sheets of wax paper in an airtight container. Keep at room temperature or chilled, last about a week.

And last but not least the pictures of the chocolate covered pretzels.

These make great gifts and look awesome on your Christmas desert table.

A Few of My Favorite Things at Christmas

I normally put the tree in front of the window in the living room, but our new love seat doesn't allow it, so I moved it between the living room and dinning room. You can see three sides of the tree now, so this may be a permanent place for the tree from now on

These are all of my favorite ornaments!
This one is from my friend Paige. This ornament was the one that inspired me to do candy and snowmen on my Christmas Tree.

This one was given to me by my friend Stephanie. She knows how much I love cow noises.

So to go along with the set of cow bells Steph gave me I found this singing cow. It moos to the song of Deck the Halls.

Meet my Nephew

Well if you read my last post Sara isn't having a girl. It's a boy!Here our some of the 4d pics they took. Sara and Mike don't have a clue what to name him. She has been calling the baby Scooter since she found out she was pregnant.So, for now it is just Scooter. Baby and mom are doing well. My mom and I are going today to take back all the little girl clothes and toys and exchange them for little boy items. We are just glad we all found out now and not when this little blessing arrives in March. Sara will now have time to prepare and change the little girl items that have been given to her already. Mom has to start over on the scrapbook she had already started. This is just too funny.We all have laughed so hard about it.

News at the DuBose house is... The tree is up and the house is decorated for Christmas. Work has been slow so I've had plenty of time on my hands to decorate. I'll wait till after Thanksgiving to do the out side. Trying to not to rush the seasons. Plus, I need to pressure wash the house.(I'll put up pics later I don't want to take away from Scooters pics this post) Paul is back from his business trip. The trip went well and he learned a lot. That is about it our way.

Well, my sister just got home from having her 4D ultrasound and it isn't a girl! It's a BOY!! Baby is growing and doing well! Mom is getting use to the idea of a boy. We are just as happy as before but have to take back a lot of little girl clothes and buy little boy clothes and toys! So that is the lastest news our way. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Look what I found on my car on the way to pick up mom’s b-day cake…yes another crawly creature…why do they love my car so much? I hate little green and brown crawly creatures, but they sure do love me and my car.

They are like hello DeAnne; we come here to visit you and your green car. Hehehehe… we know you hate us so we will visit you monthly and scare you to death before you go some where in your car. Ha ha ha….just go away already!!!…Well, at least it gives me something to blog about besides food, and you all get a great laugh out of it. LOL

Peppermint Bark

Here is my first attempt at making Peppermint Bark. The candy turned out incredible! Here’s to smooth dark chocolate with white chocolate middles and peppermint dreams.

Recipe Ingredients

11.5 ounces good quality dark chocolate
11.5 ounces good white chocolate
1 cup crushed peppermints (About 30 mints)
Parchment paper
Large cookie sheet
Microwaveable bowl
Spatula

How to Make...
1
Unwrap peppermints and place in baggie.

Crush peppermints in baggie.

Melt dark chocolate in microwave for 30 second intervals until melted. Stir between intervals.

Pour dark chocolate into pan.

Smooth out evenly. Place in frig for 30 min or until hard.
While you wait, chop up white chocolate.

Melt white chocolate in microwave for 30 second intervals until melted. Sir between then pour on top of cooled dark chocolate. Do this very slowly and smooth out as you go because it will turn marbled if you pour it all at once.

Add crushed peppermints. I put them on top, but you can also mix them in with the white chocolate
Place back in frig for at least an hour or until hard.

Cut and serve!
I like to keep mine in the frig until they are all gobbled up!

Sailing on the China Blue

This past weekend Paul and I were invited to go see our dear friends Courtney and Edwin Perry. While we were down, Courtney and I did a little shopping on Saturday before the big game. WAR EAGLE!!! On Sunday we joined Courtney and Edwin at their church for a good old fashioned song service. It was so fun. We sang all the classic hymns. On Monday, we hit up Chick- Fli-A for free sandwiches for wearing your favorite team shirts! Yeah, for free stuff! We also got the chance to go sailing with our new friend John Reece. He has a beautiful sailboat called China Blue. I have always wanted to go sailing! I’m so glad I was able to share my first experience sailing with all of my dear friends. Thanks you so much John for taking us out! I couldn't have asked for a better Labor Day weekend! I hope you all enjoy the slide show.

Well, most of probably already have read Paul’s Blog about our newest and latest visitor. Paul just got a really big kick out of me. It really started the night before last. I opened the back door and saw a brown tail. I just knew it was a snake. I freaked out and when Paul finally got there it was confirmed to be a small worm…LOL On my behalf, it was dark, wet, and I didn’t have my contacts in. Well, the story continues into yesterday afternoon about 3:00. I was trying to walk Emma, but she wasn’t going to have it. She refused to leave the back steps. Then the rain started. I just happened to glance around and saw a lime green head poking out from under the hood of my car. I thought did I really see anything, oh, it’s probably a lizard. I waited about 30 min. then took Emma back outside. That is when I saw the head and body and knew it wasn’t a lizard, but a snake!!!! I totally freaked out. I called Paul and he was like it’s a lizard I’m almost home and I was like NO it’s a snake this time… Then he drives up and opens the hood of my car and see the lizard…SNAKE he yells and jumps back. LOL I knew I saw a snake. So, I’m like told you so. Well, we are trying to figure out how to get this animal out of my car. We have a broom, a mop, I’m waving around the Pampered chef huge grill flipper and yelling cut its head off. Then the snake crawls behind the battery and I tell Paul to turn the car on and it will burn him out…didn’t work. Next I told Paul to back the car out, well; he does this and then comes flying out of the car yelling he is inside of your car and all this other crap. I was screaming and yelling and it wasn’t funny! I just knew this snake had bit him. Turns our after he got me calmed down he was joking…Ha, ha, ha, LOL not really funny… Well, to wrap this story up. We let the car sit and the snake finally comes out and as Paul is trying to get it out the snake decides to crawl across the engine and down the side of the open passenger car door. Paul finally gets the snake and I go and get the shovel… I was almost bitten by a rattle snake as a small child, and I fear snakes greatly!! So, you know how it ends from there. So we had our late anniversary trip this past weekend! It was wonderful! Paul rented a town house at Sugar Beach in Navarre Florida. It was like we were the only ones there which we loved! I would have had more Pictures, but the sand and rain on our second day killed the camera. So very sad b/c I love that camera. PC Beach Trip '09

This past weekend we went to Panama City Beach with Bryan, Adrienne, Taylor, Brandon, and Ms. Emma Grace (our little dog). We started the weekend off with Ship Wreck, ate dinner at Captain Andersons, and finished up the night with a short game of putt, putt golf. Taylor and Brandon had to leave early. We hated to see them go. So Bryan, Adrienne, Paul and I hit the beach the next day. We also went to Pier Park and did a little shopping. We had a blast with these guys and hope to make it an annual event!

Well what can I say…I’m at home all day and blueberries are in season, plus I love them! So more blueberries!! This time I made blueberry muffins. My mom and I use to make these all the time when I was little. I think it was one of the first things I ever baked. We would always go to Pucketts Blueberry Farm and get our blueberries. It was down the road from us. One year we even picked our own. It was fun, but very hot. We would always get enough blueberries for the whole year and put them up. I love being in the kitchen with my mom. Here are a few pictures of the final product! They are delicious! I use an oversized muffin tin so they are huge.

I made some blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote on top for brunch! I just love the way the blueberries burst in my mouth with their delicious sweet juices. Add some orange juice and it’s the perfect way to start the day. Oh so yummy! Of course Paul doesn’t eat them, so he had plain pancakes and orange juice.

On Wed. on our way out for church this week, Izzy, our cat brings us a live gift! It was a lovely Gecko/lizard. He drops it on Paul barefoot in the house! The lizard runs and hides for not one, not two, but three days.He had himself a lovely vacation some where in my house. He made his appearance this afternoon giving me a total panic attack! I called Paul, he laughs and said to pick it up...LOL Yeah right!!! So, I went to my neighbors’ house and their precious daughter who loves all creatures came and took it from my house. Thank you so much Jade!!! Now I can breath/sleep again! I'm so glad because there isn't a lizard roaming in my house anymore waiting to scare me again!

Tomorrow will be our four year anniversary!! We are going to be out of town so I'm posting today. I'm so excited! Paul gave me the best present ever! We are going to the beach in July!!! You all know I love the beach. It was so sweet how he told me. He had a picture of the place printed out and had put the picture inside the sweetest card ever! He also got me a monogrammed flag with a D on it, The Sims 3, and a few other things. But the best present he has given me is his love over the last four years. We had a new cooking experience last night! Yep, after four years of marriage and dating 3, we decided to fry some food! Yes, I know it is totally bad, but we were desperate for something new to do with chicken and a fry daddy that was giving to us when we got married. We have never used the Fry Daddy. So the finally product turned out great! We both felt totally guilty for eating such bad food, b/c we really never eat anything fried. Mom, Sherry, and I went to market this past week and had a total blast!!! While we were there I celebrated my 27th B-Day at the Cheese Cake Factory. MMMM it was so good! Here are a few pics to share with you all. After Market each night we all went back to our hotel room and went through all the catalogs to prep for the next day it was so fun! We had a great three days in Atlanta shopping at Market and are totally exhausted from all the walking around we did! My poor feet aren't excited about the next trip b/c this trip gave them blisters. But, in spite of blisters,we will defiantly be going back in July. I'm always game for shopping no matter how painful! LOL

Our trip to Mobile yesterday went about as well as it could have. We did one more ultrasound and there still wasn't anything to be found in the gestational sack. What really convinced the doctor though was that it looks like there's some bleeding starting to occur around the outside edge of the sack. So between that and her hormone levels, we feel confident that we've lost the baby.

It's been hard but I really think the hardest part of it all is that we've been dealing with it for two weeks now. It's nice to finally have a definitive answer so that we can go ahead and get through the grieving process and get back on our feet. That may sound cold, but we've been through such a long cycle of hope/grief/hope, that it's just a relief for it to finally be over.

So that's where we stand. In trying to carry on with life, we watched Kung Fu Panda last night. It was pretty good. It had a couple of really funny moments and it had a nice moral to it.

Not The News We Were Hoping For (From Paul's Blog)

DeAnne's labs yesterday didn't go well. The gestational sack has grown some more but there was still nothing to be seen inside of it. Then yesterday afternoon we got her blood work results and her hormone levels have dropped. So it's not the news that we were hoping to get, but I'm thankful that the Lord has answered our prayers in that this trial is close to coming to an end. It's been hard and neither of us are looking forward to starting over, but we know that God is with us and we know that when the time is right, we'll have a baby.

I know it's short, but I just don't have it in me to say anything else today. Keep us in your prayers and have a good Tuesday.

As always, we had a good trip to Mobile. We went ahead and left on Sunday morning so that we could avoid some of the traffic and just take our time and not be in a rush or anything. We spent Sunday night with our ever gracious friends Courtney and Edwin.

The doctor's appointment went okay. He was expecting to see the heart starting to form but they didn't find anything. He said everything was fine, but kind of acted concerned at the same time. He wants us to come back again on Thursday, so that kind of has us worried. Hopefully, on Thursday, we'll be able to see something inside the gestational bag.

We had a great weekend visiting with Paul's family and seeing the Butch Walker Concert! The Concert was the best one I have ever seen!! Paul has seen way more concerts than me and he totally agrees it was the best show ever!
If you look real close at my face in this pic, it is swollen! I ate something I was allergic to...nothing a benadryl couldn't fix. Luckily! We had eaten at the Cheese Cake factory a couple of hours before hand. It was really good!!(If you have never eaten there before go!) any way back to my story..the appetizer I ate apparently had a shrimp sauce on top. Luckily we found out before the reaction got really bad. Paul's Aunt Jane and Uncle Steve to us to a laser light show. The fireworks were awesome! The show itself wasn't that great due to a huge cloud of fog settling in over the front of the Mt. which was a bummer! We'll have to go back the next time we are there and hope that the fog doesn't come back. Check out Paul's blog for more details about the Concert and our trip. I'm not a big writer as you all know and that is all he does on his blog. LOL I'm more into the visual side of things.

We had a blast at the beach! We went strait to the beach as soon as we arrived at our hotel. The waves are perfect for boogie boards and surf boards. So, we went out and bought a boogie board and had so much fun riding waves. The sand isn't as white as the Gulf's and you could drive on it. That part really annoyed me b/c drivers would just honk their horns at you to get out of their way even if you were sitting on the beach first. On Saturday we just soaked up the sun and played in the water. We ate at Bubba Gump's and it was really good! Our last night, we walked down the beach to the pier and watched fireworks. It was really pretty. We defiantly didn't want to come back home. But, it was nice seeing all the critters when we got back yesterday. We had such a good time and are already looking forward to our Gulf Shores Trip next month.

My last day of school was Tuesday. It was bittersweet. I'll miss the children, but we all needed a break from each other in the end. I have to finish out the week and then I'm off for two weeks. I'll be teaching summer school...UGH, That isn't exactly how I wanted to spend my summer, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do for a pay check. Paul had his 27th B-day on Sunday. We had a whole weekend of celebrations. This up coming weekend my grandmother is getting married!! How exciting to have found by your high school sweet heart years later and rekindle those feels again. They are so cute together. We are all excited and wish them all the best. My Brother in law Mike comes home from Iraq next week. Words can't describe how excited my sister is. We are all thankful to God for keeping him safe. Well, that is our lasted updates.

Spring Cleaning

Paul and I spent seven hours in the yard yesterday...It was so exhausting and surprisingly fun!! The yard looks great. We have the flower beds to go and are planning to work on them today or tomorrow. I also have a new appreciation for what my husband does all spring and summer long. Love you so much Paul! Now it's time to spring clean the house and clear out the junk room..Which will be a big adventure. It's amazing in the soon to be three years of marriage how much junk we have accumulated. So here's to happy cleaning! Trash bags ready, dust mittens on and off we go to get organized!

Paul and I got up early this morning and went to sunrise service. What a blessing it was.

Oh, the Dr. appt. went well. He said my lungs sound great and my x-ray was good. So, Praise to God for another year of cancer free!!!! God continues to bless us everyday.

Paul's MRI & Other News

Paul's MRI went well. He didn't have a stroke or a brain tumor. Praise God!!! So the spots in his eyes are just a mystery to the Dr's. and the rest of us. Only God knows.

Testing if finally over!!!!! So that is another thing I can check off my list of things to do.

Sara got home safely Monday morning around 1:00 a.m. She is counting down the days till her husband comes home from Iraq. If all goes well, he should be home at the end of May.

Please keep my family in your prayers. We had a close relative die in a motorcycle accident on Sunday. The family name is Josey.

As most of you know Paul and I have been on Weight Watchers for about 9 weeks. I'm lost 15 lbs and seem to be stuck....ughhhh. Paul has lost about the same. But his heart Dr. told him he didn't need to lose any more, so he gets to eat what he wants..pout! He has been really good even though he can eat what he wants. He has been a big support for me. I workout and eat within my points range but I want faster results and now!...can ya tell I'm just a little impatient about the weight thing as well as other things... We weighed in today and I've still only have lost 15 lbs. It will come off!!! I am determined about that. There again more waiting. God is defiantly teaching me patients but not by me praying for it. (L) I guess that is a lesson He thinks I need to learn before He reveals his plan for my life. For a great example of that....I was teaching my Bible lesson today on the story of David's Life and it turned out to be more for me than the children at school. God works in awesome ways to tell you his plan. The lesson was about how David waited for God's time and as he waited he grew close to God. He waited on God to teach him the skills he needed for his future. Warrior, writing Psalms, singer, harpist, and later king of Israel. So, I learned that I need to wait and know that God is in control and it is on His time not mine.

Tomorrow is the last day of testing at school! Thank God!!! The last two weeks have been so stressful. Testing this year has defiantly been different from last year. I'm the only one at school who has a degree that is active, therefore I get to do everything all by myself. Whoop EEEE!! (Ordering the test, keeping the tests safe, sending them back and don't forget the actual testing part). Can I just scream now!!!! Just one more day!!!!

Just a few more days and we find out what Paul's MRI said. I go back to the Dr. for my issues at the end of the month and we'll see what he has to say about that. I also have to go back to the Pulmonologist (sp?)next Friday. I was sick the week we went in Feb., and he told me to come back. I'm assuming he doesn't think it is lung cancer again, or he would have said something already. I think he wants me to come back because I was sick and he wants to check me out when I'm well.

I've also been praying about my job issues. I really don't know what to do. I have a love hate relationship with it. I'm completely torn... I want to stay, but there is always the big MONEY issue. I also would like to try public school again and get past my fear of it/heartache of what happened last year. This year has helped me out in many ways and I have grown so much through it. We'll see what the Lord opens or doesn't open for me in due time.

I know God has a plan for us, but we are in wait mode once again. God has brought us through many trials over the last two years and I know He will bring us through the ones we are facing now. We are extremely grateful to have the support of our families, our close friends, and our church family. With out their support I do not know what we would do...probably go crazy.. (Which some close friends my say has already happened LOL...RAGE and Brownie).
Well, on a happier note Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!
